What if I have student loans? Can I still finish school or will I have to pay cash from now on?

For the most part, student loans are treated as a special class of unsecured debt because they are not subject to discharge in bankruptcy. Generally, if you are currently attending class and your loans are being deferred you can continue borrowing for future attendance and tuition and accruing increases in account balance as your school charges your account. Every lender however, will have its own rules and policies regarding bankruptcy and you should check with your loan officials before making any assumptions.
